Immediate opening for Senior Umbilical Engineer.  Locations Houston, TX and Various Worldwide & Offshore.
Accountable for the overall design and execution of a major umbilical project, including concept selection, budgeting (including manpower), manufacturing, and installation.  Interfaces and provides direction to the integrated project team to meet schedule milestones and project startup targets.

• Expert in applicable project specifications
• Expert in technical aspects of tube manufacturing, including materials and all aspects of material welding, processing, testing.
• Technical expertise in all aspects of manufacturing and installation of Umbilicals and subsea distribution hardware
• Expert in documentation for project startup/commissioning, punch-listing and turnover/acceptance/sign-off requirements.
• Contributes to the technical efforts of COMPANY in preparing DEPS, auditing of potential suppliers
• Primary responsibilities:
• Leads overall project development for the umbilical system from design to installation, encompassing completion, commissioning, & handover strategies, execution plans and procedures that are aligned with COMPANY requirements
• Interface between Manufacturing, Installation, and Operations to achieve a seamless delivery and transfer of facilities "ready for 1st oil"

Primary duties:

• Identify resource needs at key project phases and to develop Project Strategy for on time delivery of the umbilical - this will include design, tendering, awarding, construction and installation of the system.
• Responsible for coordinating and executing design reviews, Peer reviews, commissioning and handover activities required by the Project Execution Plan.
• Delivers guidance to Construction Contractor for implementation of the Systems Completion Plan at appropriate Check Points to ensure it is in accordance with the approved Project Systems Completion Strategy. Ensures alignment with Project Engineering, Construction, Quality, Procurement and Start Up/Operations.
• Manages the execution for a safe and effective umbilical development process - provides leadership in the area of HSE and ensures compliance with COMPANY HSE safe practices.  
• Subject matter expertise and resource to the Project,  pertinent to the umbilical and subsea distribution systems.
• Manages and Coordinates interfaces with Manufacturing, Installation, Operations Integration, Start-Up, to ensure that the umbilical system is in alignment with the Project execution plan
• Manages development of Static and Dynamic Commissioning of the umbilical system
• Prepares and Manages special sub-contract packages for umbilical pull-ins, subsea distribution hardware construction and fabrication, and commissioning
• Coordinates/supervises the activities of the Commissioning Leads, Vendors, and Special Contractors
• Assists in the seamless transition of the facilities from Project to Operations.
