EMP Sells Stake in Masela Production Sharing Contract

May 29, 2013 - EMP Energi Indonesia signed an agreement to divest its entire 10% stake offshore Masela Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in Indonesia to its partners INPEX and Shell. Upon completion of the transaction, Inpex will own a 65%-interest in the PSC and will retain its position as operator. Shell's interest will increase to 35%. Located in the Masela PSC is the Abadi gas field which is estimated to have 18.47 Tcf of proved and probable reserves. An Abadi appraisal drilling campaign is expected to begin in the summer of 2013.
