Job Description
|
| Role Synopsis
Design of electrical and software portions of the Subsea systems to include but not limited to, SubSea master control stations, hydraulic power units, subsea data acquisitions systems for offshore facilities.
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
• Write PLC and HMI software (RSLogix 5000 and Wonderware IN Touch)
• Engineer electrical schematics and general arrangements drawings (CAD experience a plus)
• Assist and compile technical specifications, performance calculations, installation/operation manuals and system training manuals
• Write test procedures
• Manage the customer interface to maintain good working relationship.
• Travel on short notice may be required to visit domestic and international customer sites as well as offshore facilities from time to time
• Support proposal generation on an as needed basis
• Supply customer support for existing project work as needed
• Know and understand Proserv Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
• Work Assignments carried out to the highest quality level
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Commercial Awareness - Decision making, effective negotiation, understanding of business objectives. Effective Vendor Selection/Management and timely execution of Purchase Orders to support Argus Subsea.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or BS Engineering Technology
Experience
Essential
• Electrical instrumentation, & software(applications level) engineering background
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for Windows software program.
• Must be able to coordinate several task at the same

Preferred
• PLC and HMI programming Experience
• Upstream oil and gas experience
Minimal Experience
Essential
• Electrical, instrumentation, and/or software ( applications level) training
• Must be able to Swim as Offshore Water Survival is required to be acquired.
• Must be prepared to travel at short notice and for extended periods of time
• Offshore working may be required for extended period of time
Preferred
• Basic aptitude for mechanical/ hydraulic equipment |
