Flexsteel pipeline technologies is currently interviewing for an experienced engineer with 5+ years working for subsea engineering company(s).  Responsibilities include development and validation of flexible pipe and related equipment for use in shallow water/subsea applications including:  review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (iso, api,and ansi), contract requirements and related specifications. Identify required qualification tests and analyses in accordance with api 17j and other relevant industry standards and statutory requirements including but not limited to :  cathodic protection system requirements for subsea flowlines, subsea performance of venting system, upheaval buckling, abrasion protection, marine growth.  Design, develop and implement specialty installation equipment, produce engineering reports and other documents in accordance with company procedures, execute test programs and analyses through in-house and subcontracted facilities. MS Office suite, experience with ansys, abaqus, offpipe, solidworks and mathcad.
