Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting for a Subsea and Pipelines Engineer on a contract basis in Aberdeen.

The Opportunity:
The Subsea and Pipelines Engineer will support new and ongoing pipeline and subsea projects providing both technical and general support as required.
This will be the primary focus of the role.
They will work within the Pipelines / Projects teams supporting the integrity management and development of all operated pipelines and support the Senior Subsea and Pipelines Engineer measuring compliance with the performance standards across the operated pipelines and so maintain the integrity of both onshore and offshore systems.
Ensuring that the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) is complied with and assist with updating the system as appropriate.
Deputises for the Senior Subsea and Pipelines Engineer during his absence.
Identifying and developing new technical methodologies, and working with others in the team to Managing your own and others cost and time targets to deliver efficient, high quality engineering and preparation of associated clear, concise, high quality reports. Interfacing with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors, developing proposals and tenders.
Will contribute towards the development and execution of our onshore and subsea pipeline engineering strategy.

Minimum Requirements:
HNC / HND in an applicable mechanical or pipelines discipline.
Oil and gas industry work experience including offshore/site experience.
Project Management and Project Engineering, in particular with a focus on sub-sea pipeline projects and with experience of sub-sea tie-ins and sub-sea hot tapping projects.
Subsea pipeline Engineering & maintenance inspection.
Onshore pipeline engineering, inspection.
Report writing, presentation & surveys.
Technical inspection regime - implementation, development & auditing.
Cross discipline team & project working.
Contributing to & leading change management & continuous improvement initiatives.
Contract Management.
Legislation/regulations relevant to discipline. PSSR.
Offshore/terminal plant and equipment and maintenance systems
SHEQ systems, compliance, risk & improvement, analysis & HAZOPs.
Knowledge & application of Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
