| Chevron Corporation has started crude oil production from its Blind Faith Field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. First oil from Blind Faith was achieved on Nov. 11, 2008. Daily production is expected to ramp up to approximately 65,000 barrels of crude oil and 55 million cubic feet of natural gas over the next three months.

| Blind Faith's deep draft semi-submersible is heading for its permanent home, 160 miles southeast of New Orleans in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Initial production is expected to be approximately 30,000 barrels of oil and 30 million cubic feet of gas per day. Once it reaches its final destination in the Gulf of Mexico, Blind Faith will be Chevron's deepest offshore producing facility, moored in 6,500 feet of water with production wells in 7,000 feet of water. |
